Student's Reflection:

        Learning at EOK is no doubt an extraordinary experience. I started off as a local school student in October 2012. After some consideration, I decided to switch from the local school curriculum to the GCE curriculum. I took 10 IGCSE subjects and with the help from EOK teachers, I was able to get straight A/A* results. I began to prepare for GCE AS exams in summer 2013. I sat for 16 papers in January 2014 and managed to achieve all A results. I then moved on to GCE A2 and ultimately got 6 A/A*.

        EOK is nothing like any other tutorial centres that I have ever seen and been. At a typical local school learning environment, the style of learning is more rigid and limited to textbooks. It may not suit students like me, who acquire knowledge more effectively through experience. Sometimes, I lose interest in class since the concepts are very abstract and I cannot visualize it. The questions build up and eventually I don't like the subject anymore. EOK allows students to study through more flexible ways. Teachers are just like friends to us. They are very patient when hearing out questions from students. They also explain an idea by different media, for example use picture illustration together with words, metaphors or even the internet. They ensure that every student leave the centre without any doubt as long as we raise our questions. Also, I find computer programs way more interesting than paperwork, although both of them aim to help us learn through repeatedly practising. When I am doing the program, I don't feel bored because the questions are more diversified. I become more focused, thus can remember something that will take weeks in school, in just half an hour!!! I certainly have fun while learning. As I secure my knowledge more quickly, my confidence and motivation to learn grow a lot along my studies. I begin to enjoy learning as the results are no longer the most important thing but the process and the joy when acquired something new. I also start to like subjects that I don't like before. I feel the pleasure of studying and tackling problems. I have a lot of fun here. I am now prepared to start a new journey in an university, for which I am very excited and grateful. I want to thank every teacher at EOK because they are the only reason why I can achieve such satisfying results.

Student's Reflection:

        I have had my tutorial lessons at EOK since Year 12. I aim at excellent results in my GCE examinations, so I asked my mom to give me tutorial lessons. During the first attempt in EOK, I deeply agreed with Dr. Ma’s experienced knowledge and unique teaching format. I have solved the problems of my subjects and become confident to sit for the examinations.
        I really enjoy my time at EOK because the lessons are so interesting and valuable, therefore I spend most of my time at EOK during the holidays. With good AS results, I have received early offers from the universities. And now, I finally got a firm offer from Imperial College London. I would really like to thanks Dr. Ma and all the teachers at EOK.

Parent's Reflection:

        Gigi has tutorials at EOK since 2012. I am satisfied with EOK and find EOK is different from other tutorial centres in the following aspects:
    - EOK is an unique tutorial centre providing an active learning             environment to its students;

    - Its tutors are experienced and of knowledge. They can find out         the blind spot of their students;

    - There are handful study materials which are most up-to-dated         and useful; and

    - The computer system is found effective to drill the students.

        All of above can facilitate students to overcome their weakness and upgrade their academic knowledge gradually. The most important is EOK has helped their students to build up their confidence to overcome the examination and finally get fabulous public examination results.

        Gigi’s excellent examination results have made her secure offers from universities in UK and HK. Gigi and I are so excited to commence her university study in Imperial College London in the coming October 2014.

        Thank you so much to Dr Ma and his team of professional tutors!

Reflection:

        EOK is like a second home to me, it helps me a lot! By using computer programs to train students, the efficiency has been greatly enhanced. Moreover, EOK offers personalized learning schedule for each student according to our pace and needs. This helps us to learn more effectively. The teachers at EOK are also very friendly and they treat us like friends! The AS results are actually out of my expectation, and I'm really happy about it. Thank you Dr. Ma and EOK! :)

Student's Reflection:

        EOK is definitely the place for you to go if you want to improve your academic skills and understand different topics fully. I joined EOK last year, and at that time my understanding of AS Math was terrible. In less than a month, with the help of EOK’s program, I learned so quickly that I finally got an A in AS Math and I was really happy about that.

        Teachers in EOK are really kind and friendly. They are just like friends rather than teachers and this makes the learning environment a fun place to work in. Before the exam week, EOK’s teachers, especially Dr. Ma, even stayed till 10-11pm with us to help us going through all the topics and this is really appreciated.

Parent's Reflection:

        Learning process is not just iterative but also interactive. My son has joined EOK's tutorial programme since December 2012 where he does not only do exercises and revisions on subjects he learnt at school but also get prompt guidance and feedback from his teachers, in particular Dr. Ma.  He has corrected his mistakes as well as gained more understanding on his subjects in his tutorials.  More importantly, he enjoyed going to EOK where he has built more confidence on his studies.  We are also glad that, with the support of EOK, my son has been accepted by a university of his choice in Hong Kong in September 2013.
