Student's Reflection:

EOK is a very unique learning environment where you develop friendships with students and teachers alike. The teachers are able to expand our scope of the subject we do, as they are all very experienced and knowledgeable. They also gauge our progress and pick more suitable programs. I think with my time at EOK, my grades have increased exponentially in the shortest amount of time possible. I actually enjoy school after going to EOK because I understand so much more, and am often more advanced than my peers. It was only with the help of EOK securing my grades that I am confident in meeting my offers and predictions.

Dr. Ma has unrivaled dedication to his students. The nights before my exams when I was overseas, he would still give up his free time for me to review all the topics via remote sessions.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the EOK teachers who have taught me!! Thank you. :)

Student's Reflection:

Studying at EOK has been a delightful experience for me. The style of teaching in EOK is radically different from that at school, so that the process of learning and consolidating knowledge is much more efficient. The advantage of having a programme in aiding my studies is that I am able to target my weaknesses and areas of the subject that I am unsure of, and be able to actively tackle it in the most effective way. Dr. Ma’s has helped me with my university application immensely, which I am very grateful for. With a solid and stable foundation of knowledge at high school, I am encouraged and motivated to take it further in university. EOK enlightens students, and Dr Ma and his team of teachers are nothing but kind and supportive in the pursuit of academic excellence. Thank you, Dr Ma!

Reflection:

The place with the best program, the place with the best education, and the place with the most excellent knowledge. That place is EOK.

The main reason why most students come to EOK is not because they are bad, it is because they want to be better, which applies to me as well. Most people may think that studying at a tutoring center during my holidays might sound a bit nerdy or boring or to some extent described as an "Asian parent thing", but in fact EOK is like my "home". During my holidays, I would be in EOK, enjoying my intensive revision as well as having fun with teachers. This motivates me to work harder and aim higher at each time. The lessons in EOK are not only effective but also flexible. The teachers in EOK are supportive and I can approach them whenever and wherever. Even when I am in UK, I could still be able to seek help and gain support through their remote lessons.

I want to thank EOK for helping me to achieve high academic grades in AS by using special programs as well as for guiding me and inspiring me! I will always be grateful for all the hard work and effort that EOK has put in the field of education to me!

Student's Reflection:

Studying at EOK over the holidays has definitely benefited me in many ways. Not only does EOK offer me an intensive training on my A-Level subjects, which ultimately led to good results from the
AS exam, EOK also offers a very friendly environment so that I could enjoy myself in the meantime. The topic based learning, in particular, was very useful when it comes to revising for exams. Rather than spoon feeding us, Dr. Ma has allowed space for us to think mathematically and logically, which I thought was very important as this helps us to develop critical thinking skills and a passion to solve problems. I intend to study engineering at university and I look forward to coming back to EOK during my term breaks.

Parent's Reflection:

James is a diligent boy and he got great results, straight A*s in IGCSEs. He never joined any additional tutorials before year 11. Hence, I thought he should be able to manage his own studies in A-levels. However, he found that there was a big gap between the IGCSE and A-level curriculum and realised that it was difficult for him to handle his studies by himself. So, as his mother, I sought help from the EOK where the tutors are very enthusiastic, helpful, friendly and experienced.

James started his EOK tutorials during the Christmas in Year 12. Through all tailor-made tutorials, James was able to maximise his learning ability. During this process, he was not only facilitated to explore further in his areas of strength, but also encouraged by the tutors in confronting and overcoming his weaknesses.

Throughout this process, James’ confidence in learning has been empowered. Finally, he attained great results, 4A*s in his A-levels, and is going to enter University of Cambridge for further studies. Thanks all tutors for their great support and encouragement to James.

All the best wishes to EOK!

Reflection:

EOK has the privilege of not only catering to secondary school students studying for their GCSEs, GCEs, and/or IBs, but also to university students that wish to improve their skills, from Statistics to Physics. By special arrangement, students can be taught university level syllabuses, and can revise on lessons based on their course.  Starting from Year 7 in secondary school to university, students can reap the benefits of EOK, achieving results that reflect their full knowledge of the subject.

EOK has shown their ability to produce star pupils globally, and the evidence of their level of achievement in GCSE, GCE and IB grades extends toward their university level courses as well. Students applying for these courses would be taught by well-seasoned teachers with extensive knowledge of the university system. Students would be guided through their course syllabus in a manner that allows them to fully comprehend the theories and methods involved in their course, rather than just blindly memorising them. This allows them to better apply the theories learnt in future coursework or dissertations.

EOK is a centre that is able to adapt to each person’s individual needs, regardless of whether the person is a Year 7 student starting secondary school, or a Year 1 student in university. Each person comes out of EOK richer in knowledge, and as a person that has experienced EOK’s university level tutoring, I can say this from my own personal experience.

Student's Reflection:

I have had my tutorial lessons at EOK since Year 12. I aim at excellent results in my GCE examinations, so I asked my mom to give me tutorial lessons. During the first attempt in EOK, I deeply agreed with Dr. Ma’s experienced knowledge and unique teaching format. I have solved the problems of my subjects and become confident to sit for the examinations.
I really enjoy my time at EOK because the lessons are so interesting and valuable, therefore I spend most of my time at EOK during the holidays. With good AS results, I have received early offers from the universities. And now, I finally got a firm offer from Imperial College London. I would really like to thanks Dr. Ma and all the teachers at EOK.

Parent's Reflection:

Gigi has tutorials at EOK since 2012. I am satisfied with EOK and find EOK is different from other tutorial centres in the following aspects:
    - EOK is an unique tutorial centre providing an active learning             environment to its students;

    - Its tutors are experienced and of knowledge. They can find out         the blind spot of their students;

    - There are handful study materials which are most up-to-dated         and useful; and

    - The computer system is found effective to drill the students.

All of above can facilitate students to overcome their weakness and upgrade their academic knowledge gradually. The most important is EOK has helped their students to build up their confidence to overcome the examination and finally get fabulous public examination results.

Gigi’s excellent examination results have made her secure offers from universities in UK and HK. Gigi and I are so excited to commence her university study in Imperial College London in the coming October 2014.

Thank you so much to Dr Ma and his team of professional tutors!

EOK is definitely the place for you to go if you want to improve your academic skills and understand different topics fully. I joined EOK last year, and at that time my understanding of AS Math was terrible. In less than a month, with the help of EOK’s program, I learned so quickly that I finally got an A in AS Math and I was really happy about that.

Teachers in EOK are really kind and friendly. They are just like friends rather than teachers and this makes the learning environment a fun place to work in. Before the exam week, EOK’s teachers, especially Dr. Ma, even stayed till 10-11pm with us to help us going through all the topics and this is really appreciated.

Parent's Reflection:

Learning process is not just iterative but also interactive. My son has joined EOK's tutorial programme since December 2012 where he does not only do exercises and revisions on subjects he learnt at school but also get prompt guidance and feedback from his teachers, in particular Dr. Ma.  He has corrected his mistakes as well as gained more understanding on his subjects in his tutorials.  More importantly, he enjoyed going to EOK where he has built more confidence on his studies.  We are also glad that, with the support of EOK, my son has been accepted by a university of his choice in Hong Kong in September 2013.

After having joined EOK, I have absorbed a lot of knowledge in Physics, Math and Psychology more quickly than I expected. EOK gave me a lot of support in my AS exam preparation. The teachers here are very friendly and patient. They design different materials for me so that I can learn more effectively. The computer learning program is also a very effective medium for me to tackle my weaknesses. I have gained more confidence and got excellent results in many papers. Apart from exams, EOK helped me to plan my personal statement. They encouraged me to participate in some activities that are relevant to the subjects I would choose in the university. After I had submitted my UCAS application, I got four offers within two weeks! Credits must be given to EOK for their hard work and special way of teaching method.

Besides, the learning program is also a very useful and helpful medium for tackling our weaknesses.           I was a F.4 student from Diocesan Boys' School. I am skipping from Y10 to Y12, so my parents and I were quite anxious about whether I can catch up with the syllabus. Luckily, we have chosen EOK to trust on. The teachers there put extra focuses on topics which HK curriculum doesn't cover and topics that I was weak in. At EOK, I can learn effectively because I can concentrate easily in the learning environment and the learning materials are very helpful. I am going to start my new school life in Kingswood School soon. Enrolling into EOK courses is an important decision to me as EOK helps me to gain confidence in facing challenges ahead in the UK.

As I had problems catching up with my regular lessons in the UK school, I started to look for tutorial schools during my holiday break and last Christmas Dad chose EOK for me. At EOK, I have absorbed more than what I did at school as I have more interaction with the teacher here. Also, the learning environment here helps me concentrate more than that of my school. After my first intensive tutorials at EOK, my predicted grade for English at school has been boosted up from C to A. Such great improvement shows that Dad had made a right choice for me.

Also, I learnt science here even more efficiently than in my school. The teachers here are really patient and keen on helping students to solve problems. Even though the course is very intensive and exhausting, the atmosphere of the lesson is cheerful and delightful. Now, I have learnt to deal with problems with confidence and think independently.
