Dr. Alison Gibbs

Dr. Alison Gibbs is a Senior Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Toronto. She teaches courses in probability, statistical theory, and applied statistics to students at all levels from first year university to graduate school. She is the faculty advisor to the Statistical Consulting Service which provides statistical advice and analysis to the University of Toronto research community and to clients from government and private industry. She has recently advised the Ontario Ministry of Education on its revisions to the grade 12 Mathematics of Data Management course.

Dr. Gibbs received her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Toronto in 2000. She has also held a faculty position at York University and taught Secondary School Mathematics for four years.
